Overview
Today’s workforce is comprised of employees across four generations, all of whom communicate in very different ways. Poorly written employee communications lead to unnecessary and time-consuming staff misunderstandings. Lax marketing and business communications standards hurt your brand. Creating a style guide and having standards in place, for how your employees communicate with each other and your stakeholders, just makes good business sense.
The veteran communications professionals at Clear Message Media are poised to help. We channel our decades of concise writing, expert editing, and targeted marketing communications acumen to work into creating customized communications workshops that are tailored and relevant to your specific business needs.
Learning Objectives
- OK, boomer: Understanding the dos and don’ts of intergenerational communications
- You may not realize … : Applying the Ms. Manners guide to proper email etiquette
- Your write: Identifying common editing errors and proofread like a BOSS
- He said what?: Understanding proper tone and why it matters
- Just say no to reply all: Avoiding unnecessary and/or time-consuming business communications mistakes
Who Should Attend
Whether you need new employee onboarding, voluntary brownbag sessions, specific departmental trainings, or all-staff professional development workshops, Clear Message Media will create a customized communications workshop that’s relevant to your specific employees and target audiences.
Why Attend
Let’s face it: Business writing standards have declined and are getting worse. Email communications take “business casual” to a whole new level. Too many e-newsletters contain more exclamation marks than relevant facts about an organization’s important programs, products, or services. Cringeworthy percentages of misspellings or bad grammar show up in marketing communications materials. Social media abbreviations have infiltrated inner office and/or client communications. Understanding and applying the fundamentals of proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, style, and tone strengthen your brand and help mitigate unnecessary staff misunderstandings.
